As part of the 38th Durban International Film Festival, the festival calls upon filmmakers from Durban and the surrounding areas to submit their films.

The call out is open to entry-level applicants, preferably those who have not worked on expensive films in the industry but have a strong desire to feature in the next edition of the Durban International Film Festival. The festival will host screenings in a selected hub with workshops taking place alongside the film exhibitions. On the workshops that will be offered there will be high emphasis on practical skills on video camera operation, composition, scripting and video editing. Successful participants will have a space to display their films and have access to the Durban audiences.
