‘Dare to Care is a slogan that encapsulates inspectors, Pieter and his fiancée Nadia as they express enough empathy to have their hearts broken countless times when forced to euthanize healthy, abandoned pets. If society can be judged by how it treats its animals, Wild Dog & Mrs. Heart would effectively expose our throw-away epidemic. It would show a country that is unable and unwilling, to take care of its own citizens, and even less so their animal companions. The film is told from a deep wellspring of tenderness that Hendricks shares for the animals who share our homes and hearts.DIRECTOR BIO
