FULL DESCRIPTION

Set in the outskirts of Johannesburg, where most people cannot afford a descent education and barely have the same opportunities as those more fortunate than them. Drama and Nqubeko stand at a train station, as Drama nudges Nqubeko by the edge of the platform playfully. The two walk the street as Drama points out a pole with an exposed switch. They throw rocks at the pole, both damaging it and arguing who hit the switch. They later hear news that a person died from tampering with a power pole, the same pole they threw rocks at. Now they are riddled with guilt and the heavy task of figuring out what the right thing to do is. In the midst of attempting to cover sin with more sin, Nqubeko decides he cannot cope and insists on telling the police; but Drama's dispute continues to escalate.

DIRECTOR BIO
Kamo B. Kwele studied at AFDA film school but dropped out in after second year due to low funds and a lackluster desire to complete studying film because he longed to make films. Parable of Railway Street is his debut feature film and his attempt at something unorthodox in a tradition, culture and biased filled art industry.
