A young lady named Haruko lives alone and talks to no one but her TV every day. She witnessed her father’s affair when she was a teenager. Since then she has been closed to herself and open to paranormal phenomena causing her to drift apart from her family when one day, Haruko’s TV turns into human figure with strong feelings for her. Haruko is surprised but elated to have the TV man living together with her but fate intervenes, as a producer discovers the TV man’s special skills of speaking 12 languages and makes him a TV star. Quickly, the TV man becomes far more famous than either of them expected throwing their whole relationship into turmoil.
Between directing films Lisa Takeba is also a TV commercial director, music video director and a Nintendo DS game scriptwriter. In 2014 Lisa directed her first feature film “The Pinkie”, which won the Grand Prix and Cinegar Award at the 24th Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival.
